Aetna names Diana Gibson Pace new chief growth officer in California

San Francisco – April 3, 2019 – Aetna, a CVS health business, has named Diana Gibson Pace as its new chief growth officer for California.

In this newly created role, Gibson Pace will have accountability for employer growth and retention for all commercial segments, group Medicare and specialty business lines across California; she will also have responsibility for national accounts throughout the West Territory.

“Diana is a talented and experienced health care leader with a strong track record for growth and innovation, making her the perfect fit for this exciting new role,”  Kristen Miranda, Aetna’s market president for California and West territory head. “I am thrilled to welcome Diana to Aetna and am confident that she will be instrumental in helping us continue to differentiate Aetna as the partner of choice.”

Gibson Pace comes to Aetna from Blue Shield of California, where she spent the last seven years as the vice president and general manager of the plan’s premier and labor business. In that role, she led sales and account management teams for the commercial, labor union and public-sector groups. Additionally, Gibson Pace worked at Health Net and Prudential.

Gibson Pace holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
