Aetna to add jobs, expand facilities in High Point, NC

Reflecting strong customer interest in innovative benefits administration and value-driven, patient-centered care, Aetna joined Governor Roy Cooper, High Point Mayor Jay Wagner, local elected officials and area economic development partners to announce the expansion of Aetna’s operations in High Point, North Carolina.

The business plans to hire upwards of 300 new employees by the end of 2020 , supporting growth in programs such as bswift, Aetna’s benefits administration technology and services business, and Aetna One Advocate, an integrated clinical and service model with a comprehensive team that helps members and their family achieve their health ambitions.

Our growing investment in the community and economy reflects the strength of the talent pool in High Point.

We employ over 1,200 people here today at our current facilities, and we serve approximately half a million commercial and Medicare Advantage members across the state of North Carolina,” said Jim Bostian, Aetna Market President for the Mid-South. “Our growth and investment here in High Point is focused on providing innovative benefits administration, service excellence to our customers, and also collaborating with local providers to improve the value of our products and services through improved care and a better health care experience.”

Aetna leases more than 126,000 square feet in High Point at 4050 Piedmont Parkway and will be adding another 16,000 square feet to its current facilities. The business will be investing approximately $2.5 million in building renovations and equipment.
