Aetna received the 2017 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles Award® in the Platinum category from the National Business Group on Health – the 11th time the company was recognized.
Aetna was one of 48 U.S. companies recognized by the National Business Group on Health and one of 16 Platinum winners. Platinum award winners were recognized for implementing a workforce well-being strategy with demonstrated results across dimensions of well-being, as well as a connection between workforce well-being and key business outcomes.

Aetna offers its associates various health and wellness programs. The company launched the Aetna FitnessSM Reimbursement Program in 2015, where employees can be reimbursed for gym membership fees and group exercise classes, personal training, fitness equipment purchases and weight management and nutrition counseling services.
Associates can also participate in the Healthy Lifestyles program, where they can earn a financial incentive for sleeping and taking steps.
