Aetna CEO takes the #IceBucketChallenge

Dec 23 2014

Medtronic CEO Omar Ishrak recently nominated Aetna Chairman, CEO and President Mark Bertolini to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Bertolini accepted and posted a video of his chilly challenge to YouTube on Tuesday, August 19. The Aetna Foundation also will donate to the ALS Association. Aetna is asking industry colleagues to do the same.

Bertolini joins a long list of leaders that have taken the challenge, including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Cook, Satya Nadella, Martha Stewart and Mark Zuckerberg.

After dumping a lobster pot full of icy seawater from the coast of Maine over his head, Bertolini then nominated Andrew Ross-Sorkin of CNBC’s Squawk Box, Cleveland Clinic CEO Dr. Toby Cosgrove and CEO Marc Benioff to take the ice bucket challenge next.
